Blake Andrews earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a concentration in Finance from Taylor University, a private Christian university just north of Indianapolis. But his real education began in 2001, when he joined Safeway Logistics and took his first job in the truck maintenance shop.
Over the years, Blake worked his way through many parts of the company, gaining hands-on experience and a deep appreciation for the people who make it all move — especially the professional drivers. That respect has shaped his leadership style and approach to operations. Whether on the road or in the office, Blake believes that doing right by people is at the heart of doing good business.
During his time as Vice President of Operations and COO, Blake played a key role in helping Safeway Logistics remain a national leader in safety and service. The company has earned annual recognition from UniGroup for its outstanding performance in special products, logistics, and trade show transportation — awards that reflect the commitment of the entire Safeway team.
Now serving as President and CEO, Blake is proud to carry forward the legacy of integrity, growth, and service that has defined Safeway Logistics for generations. For him, leadership means listening well, staying grounded, and building on a foundation of faith and hard work.
Blake and his wife Christina live just outside of Indianapolis with their two children. As a family, they look forward to many more years of working alongside the dedicated people who make Safeway more than a company — they make it a family.
