OUR HISTORY

40 years ago, Safeway Logistics began in moving, warehousing, and big-box copier, electronics, and mainframe computer delivery all across Indianapolis. 

In 1982, Safeway Logistics joined UniGroup’s special products division becoming a major hauler of special commodities. By 2004, UniGroup opened up their logistics division for Safeway, providing opportunities in worldwide warehousing. Safeway has a long history in specialized planning, problem-solving, customization, delivery services, truckload, LTL, warehousing and reverse-logistics; a perfect fit for our partner UniGroup’s business model and a relationship we still enjoy 37 years later.
